Operator and Licence

Version 0.1 (draft) · Effective 5 November 2026 · Operated by Rust50 Entertainment Ltd

1. Who operates RUST50/50

1.1 RUST50/50 (also "RUST50"), at https://rust50.com (the "Site"), is operated by the company below ("we", "us").

Legal nameRust50 Entertainment Ltd
Trade nameRUST50/50
Curaçao Chamber of Commerce numberHE 452139
Registered address28 Omonias Avenue, 1010 Nicosia, Cyprus
Licence numberHE 452139
Licensing authorityCuraçao Gaming Authority (CGA)
Licence issued5 November 2026
Licence type and termB2C gaming licence, 12 months from issue
Licence validationhttps://www.nba.gov.cy
Domainrust50.com, covered only once the CGA has approved it for licence HE 452139

1.2 The licence details in this table apply only once every placeholder in it has been completed with the details of a licence that the CGA has actually granted. Until then, section 2 applies and the Site is not offered under any gambling licence.

Drafting note: under article 2.1 of the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK, P.B. 2024 no. 157), a CGA licence can be granted only to a Curaçao NV or BV that has its statutory seat in Curaçao and at least one director resident in Curaçao. If the operator is not such a company, every reference to a Curaçao licence must be removed from the Site. Under the CGA licence conditions (article 12), the details in this table must be public, correct and current, in English and in the language of every target market.

2. Current status: test preview

2.1 Until every placeholder on this page has been completed with real, verified details, RUST50/50 is a test preview without real trading. During the preview: real Steam trading is disabled; the items you can stake are simulated and have no value; item values are the owner's reference prices, not live market quotes; nothing can be deposited, won, withdrawn or cashed out; any test bots or simulated activity are labelled as tests and are not real players; and the preview is not offered under a gambling licence. Nothing on the Site during the preview is a statement that it is licensed.

2.2 What you may see in the preview. You can enter the lobby with a display name of your choice, which creates a test account with no Steam account connected. Sample rounds opened by automated accounts, and an automated opponent that you can call into your own test round, are labelled "TEST BOT". The Mazalito panel is labelled "TEST EVENT", and its automated entrants are labelled "TEST BOT". The owner also has test tools that add simulated items to a separate owner test account, simulate a qualifying deposit and start test events. None of these tools can change a result, the odds, a seed or a payout.

2.3 Real trading will be enabled only once the following are in place: the CGA licence, with CGA consent for this domain and game; certification of the game by a CGA-approved testing laboratory; identity and age checks; responsible gambling tools; blocking of restricted territories; and a legal review of every document on the Site.

Drafting note: requires implementation before launch - identity and age verification through an EU-approved identity verification provider, self-exclusion, cooling-off, deposit limits, geoblocking and laboratory certification do not exist yet. The footer statement "licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority" must not be published until a licence has been granted.

3. The licence

3.1 Rust50 Entertainment Ltd holds online gaming licence HE 452139, issued by the Curaçao Gaming Authority on 5 November 2026 under the LOK, for B2C gaming licence, 12 months from issue.

3.2 Under licence HE 452139, the Curaçao Gaming Authority is our licensing authority and supervises our licensed activity.

3.3 Under the LOK, the CGA may first grant a provisional licence for up to six months, which may be extended once by six months, before granting a licence for an indefinite term. The type and term of our licence are shown in section 1.

3.4 Once the licence is granted, the CGA digital seal for this domain will be shown in the footer of every page of the Site. It will link to the CGA's validation page for our licence at https://www.nba.gov.cy.

Drafting note: requires implementation before launch - the Site's footers contain no CGA seal yet. Under the CGA Responsible Gaming Policy the footer must show an 18+ sign, the licence holder's name and registered address, the CGA licence number, a statement that the CGA oversees the licensee, a link to the Responsible Gambling Policy, the CGA digital seal, and links to international and local gambling-help organisations. Add these only once a licence has been granted. Drafting note: after the CGA portal incident, the CGA announced in October 2026 that the existing digital seal would be replaced by a new mechanism. Obtain the current seal code and validation address from the CGA once licensed. Never copy another site's seal. Remove the seal immediately if the licence ends or is revoked.

4. What the licence covers

4.1 Domain. The licence covers only the domains and subdomains that the CGA has approved for it (licence conditions, article 2(4)). We intend this to be rust50.com. The former preview address egirl.sx/rust50 only redirects to rust50.com. It is not a separate site. Any other site using our name is not operated by us.

4.2 Game. The licence covers one game: a peer-to-peer, one-against-one coinflip in which players stake Rust cosmetic items held in Steam (Steam Community items, app 252490, context 2).

  • The creator picks Black or White and stakes up to 25 items worth USD 1 to USD 5,000 in total.
  • Another player joins with up to 25 items worth within 6% of the creator's stake, above or below, so a joiner's stake of roughly USD 0.94 to USD 5,300 is possible.
  • Deposit and join trade offers must be confirmed in Steam within 90 seconds. While the creator's deposit offer is pending ("Preparing items") there is no cancel button: the creator cancels by declining the offer in Steam or letting it expire, and the round is then removed with nothing staked. Once the round is open, the creator can cancel it with the "Cancel round" button and the items are returned.
  • Each player's chance of winning is their share of the pot value, so equal stakes give exactly 50/50. The exact chance is shown before the joiner confirms.
  • The result is decided by the provably fair calculation on our Fairness page, not by the coin animation.
  • The cost of taking part is the items you stake. A house fee is taken from the pot at settlement as whole items worth as close as possible to, but not more than, 8% of the pot value, with the 8% cap calculated to the nearest cent. It can be lower, or zero. It is not a percentage of profit, and there are no other charges for playing.
  • Winnings are paid in Steam items, valued in US dollars using the Steam Community Market, by a trade offer sent when the round settles. You must accept it within 3 days. Steam trade holds or Steam Guard requirements can delay it. There are no cash or cryptocurrency deposits or withdrawals.

4.3 Other features. The referral programme only records referrals and pays no rewards. The Steam display-name check is for possible future promotions only. The planned "Mazalito" hourly giveaway is not active. Any new or changed game or feature needs the CGA's prior consent. See our Promotions and Referral Terms.

4.4 Things the licence does not cover. The licence does not cover Steam, the Steam Community Market, third-party marketplaces or any item trading outside the Site. The licence does not make items cash, and we do not guarantee any item's value.

Drafting note: the CGA licence conditions (article 9) refer only to fiat currencies and to virtual currencies traded on regulated exchanges, and require prizes to be paid in the currency used to play. Whether the CGA will license stakes made in Steam items is an open question. Get the CGA's written view before applying. Until laboratory certification is obtained, do not describe the game as certified.

5. How to check our licence

5.1 You can check our licence yourself in four steps:

  1. Click the CGA seal in the footer of any page of the Site.
  2. Check that the page that opens is on the CGA's own website, at https://www.nba.gov.cy.
  3. Check that it names Rust50 Entertainment Ltd and licence HE 452139, and that it lists the domain rust50.com.
  4. If the seal is missing, does not open a CGA page, or shows other details, do not play. Tell us at compliance@rust50.com, and contact the CGA through https://www.cga.cw.

6.2 We work in English. Complaints may also be written in Dutch or Papiamentu. We will never ask for your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or Steam API key. The public chat is not a support channel.

7. Who may play, and where

7.1 You must be at least 18, or the age of majority or the legal gambling age where you live, if that is higher. A Steam account does not prove your age, because Steam accounts are available from age 13.

7.2 Our employees and other key persons, as defined in the LOK, may not play.

7.3 We do not accept players who live in, or play from, any of the following:

  • the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal and Australia;
  • Curaçao, until the position of Curaçao residents has been confirmed;
  • any country or region under comprehensive UN, EU or US sanctions, or on the FATF list of high-risk jurisdictions subject to a call for action, such as North Korea, Iran and Myanmar; and
  • any other place where online gambling, or gambling with game items, is unlawful for you.

7.4 The full list is in Annex A of our Terms. If this summary differs from it, Annex A prevails, under the order of precedence in Terms clause 1.2. Using a VPN, proxy or false details to get around these restrictions is not allowed.

Drafting note: requires implementation before launch - age verification, blocking of restricted territories by IP address, and checks of each player's address during identity verification. The CGA publishes no mandatory country list, and licensees must follow the law of every place where they offer games (licence conditions, article 3(1)). Counsel must confirm the final list, including whether Curaçao residents may be accepted.

8. How the service is run

8.1 You sign in with Steam through Steam's own sign-in page (OpenID). The Site never sees or stores your Steam password. We store your SteamID64, Steam display name, avatar address and Steam trade URL. In the test preview you can also use a test account without Steam (see clause 2.2).

8.2 When real trading is enabled, deposited items will be held on bot accounts controlled by the operator until they are paid out or returned. Steam trades require Steam Guard confirmation, and Steam holds or restrictions can delay or block them.

Drafting note: requires implementation before launch - dedicated bot accounts for players' items, kept separate from items taken as fees and from the operator's own items, with regular reconciliation, as the CGA's segregation rules (licence conditions, articles 6(5) and 9) require.

8.3 Our service providers are: Cloudflare (DNS, content delivery, encryption and attack protection); an EU data centre operator (our server, in the European Union); Valve, through Steam (sign-in, inventories and trades, acting as an independent controller); Resend (delivery of the owner's sign-in codes by email only); and, at launch, an EU-approved identity verification provider (identity checks).

Drafting note: the CGA licence conditions (article 13(6)) require critical player, game and financial records to be accessible to the CGA on a server in a Tier-IV data centre in Curaçao. Some suppliers may also need CGA approval or registration.

8.4 The Site uses HTTPS, protection against cross-site request forgery and rate limits. Only the owner can use the admin console, signing in with a one-time code sent by email. The owner can mute or ban players with a recorded reason, view rounds read-only and read the audit log, but cannot change results, odds, seeds, balances or payouts.

9. Valve, Steam, Facepunch and Rust

9.1 RUST50/50 is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Facepunch Studios. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation, and Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios. We use these names only to describe the items and services involved.

9.2 Your use of Steam is governed by Valve's Steam Subscriber Agreement and rules. Valve's Steam Online Conduct rules list gambling as a prohibited commercial activity on Steam. Valve may restrict, suspend or close Steam accounts, including yours and our bot accounts, and restrict trades. We cannot prevent that.

9.3 Steam items are licensed to you by Valve and Facepunch under their terms. They may change, restrict or remove items at any time.

10. Other documents and help

10.1 Our other documents: Terms and Conditions, Fairness and Round Verification, Privacy Policy, Cookie and Local Storage Policy, Responsible Gambling Policy, Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer Policy, Complaints and Dispute Resolution, Promotions and Referral Terms and Get started and FAQ. If they conflict, the order of precedence in Terms clause 1.2 decides which applies.

10.2 If gambling is causing you or someone you know harm, our Responsible Gambling Policy lists organisations that can help.
